UAM is emerging as the biggest issue in the aviation industry and which is attracting a lot of attention not only domestically but also internationally. In Korea, active research is being conducted centered on the government and industry-university research institutes, such as the establishment of a future K-UAM concept of operation. Therefore, in this study applies the SORA (Specific Operation Risk Assessment) model established by the European JARUS (Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems) to apply the K-UAM operation environment and specific corridor for the purpose of cargo transportation that will be operated in the future that the government is promoting. We intend to suggest policy and technical measures for risk mitigation in the initial operating environment by evaluating the level of risk and analyzing the results.

The pilot's role is absolutely critical to the safety of an airline. It can be predicted that there is a difference in the acquisition of pilot competency required in actual flight at the initial flight training stage. In this study, the progress and effects of education and training for each background are analyzed, and differentiated competency-based training is to be studied. By sampling a sample of civil airline pilots, we are trying to determine whether there is a difference in the results of the regular proficiency check among the eight competencies defined by ICAO according to military and civil backgrounds. Accordingly, an independent t-test was conducted to test the average difference between the two groups, from the military and civilian origin, to confirm the average difference in the piloting competency between the groups. Based on these results, it will be helpful to design future training courses.

Research on urban air mobility (UAM) is being actively conducted as a method of next-generation transportation. eVTOL, an airplane to be used for urban air mobility, is classified into a complex type, a tilt rotor type, a tilt wing type, a tilt duct fan type, and a multicopter type according to the propulsion method. In this study, conceptual design was performed for the next generation eVTOL of the new tilt rotor type in accordance with the existing design requirements. The aerodynamic analysis programs of OpenVSP and XFLR5 were used to perform aerodynamic analysis. The power required for each flight mission stage was calculated, the battery and motor were selected accordingly, and MTOW (Maximum Take-Off Weight) was predicted by estimating the weight of each component.

In this paper, we have proposed a magnetic resonant 6.78MHz WPT(wireless power transfer) technique which can be applied to a fixed transmitter and a receiver of varying relative distance and coil alignment, Power transmission characteristics are studied with the relative distance and misalignment ration of coil area between the transmitting and receiving coils. The coils are designed with the size of 60x80㎟ by direct feeding method, and the characteristics are derived with the maximum relative distance of 50mm and horizontal area misalignment state of 0-40mm misalignment of coil center axis in the XY plane. The power transmission characteristics are compared between the 3D EM simulation and the measured data, and the power transmission shows larger than -3dB performance with the vertical distance of up to 30mm and 50% area misalignmment ratio. This work shows the transmission characteristics according to relative distance and misalignment state between the cols and that direct feeding has advantage for the short relative distance and small misalignment ratio.

In this paper, we propose an algorithm to improve DoA(direction of arrival) estimation performance of the subspace-based method by generating high robustness correlation matrix of the signals incident on the uniformly linear array antenna. The existing subspace-based DoA estimation method estimates the DoA by obtaining a correlation matrix and dividing it into a signal subspace and a noise subspace. However, the component of the correlation matrix obtained from the low SNR and small number of snapshots inaccurately estimates the signal subspace due to the noise component of the antenna, thereby degrading the DoA estimation performance. Therefore a robust correlation matrix is generated by arranging virtual signal vectors obtained from the existing correlation matrix in a sliding manner. As a result of simulation using MUSIC and ESPRIT, which are representative subspace-based methods,, the computational complexity increased by less than 2.5% compared to the existing correlation matrix, but both MUSIC and ESPRIT based on RMSE 1° showed superior DoA estimation performance with an SNR of 3dB or more.

In this paper, water meter AMR(automatic meter reading), one of the core technologies of smart water grid, using LoRa IoT network is studied. The main content of the research is to develop the network system and show the test results that one PC server receives the readings of water meters from multiple households through LoRa communication and stores them in the database, and at the same time sends the data to the web server database through internet. The system also allows users to monitor the meter readings using their smartphones. The hardware and firmware of the main board of the digital water meter are developed. For a PC server program, MDMS(meter data management system) is developed using Visual C#. The app program running on the user's smartphone is also developed using Android Studio. By connecting each developed parts, the total network system is mounted on a flow test bench in the laboratory and tested. For the fields test, 5 places around the university are selected and the transmission distances are tested. The test result show that the developed system can be applied into the real field. The developed system can be expanded to various social safety nets such as monitoring the living alone or elderly with dementia.

The accurate wing flexure model is required to improve the transfer alignment performance of guided weapon system mounted on a wing of fighter aircraft or armed helicopter. In order to solve this problem, mechanical or stochastical modeling methods have been studying, but modeling accuracy is too low to be applied to weapon systems. The deep learning techniques that have been studying recently are suitable for nonlinear. However, operating fighter aircraft for deep-learning modeling to secure a large amount of data is practically difficult. In this paper, it was used to generate amount of flexure data samples that are similar to the actual flexure data. And it was confirmed that generated data is similar to the actual data by utilizing “measures of similarity” which measures how much alike the two data objects are.
