The number of international passengers at Gimhae International Airport, the fourth-largest airport in Korea, is gradually increasing. This raised the need for a new airport in southeastern region, and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport decided to build a new runway for Gimhae International Airport. In this study, to predict the noise generated by a new runway, the noise analysis using the aviation environmental design tool (AEDT) of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was performed. In this paper, when a new runway was built at the Gimhae International Airport, an area of noise damage that is increasing than the present was predicted using arrival and departure data of airlines in a day.

In this study, we propose a method of suppressing the leakage noise signal of motor assembly through the test. The motor assembly is mounted on outside of the aircraft to rotate an antenna and must satisfy RE102 requirement on MIL-STD-461F in terms of electromagnetic interference. It is confirmed by RE102 test result hat the leakage noise signal of the equipment occurs due to external influx through the power and control cable and rotation of the motor. And it is ascertained that the part where internal/external physical shielding is difficult to rotate is the leakage path. To reduce the leakage noise signal, the electrical ground reinforcement and the electric shielding structure considering the operation of the equipment is applied and it is verified that the requirement is satisfied. Finally, we verified that required specification are met by applying circular corrugated choke with interlocking shapes and conductive grease to the noise leakage path.

In this paper, the noise is removed by using CTLS aircraft installed FBG sensor inside the aircraft wing. We suggest a normal wavelet transform scheme with motion - invariant characteristics for noise reduction. In the case of installing FBG sensors inside the composite material as in CTLS, large and small empty spaces and parts or sections are generated between the adhesive layers, and a signal splitting problem occurs. FBG sensor is not affected by noise. but eletromagnetic, light source, light detector and signal processing device are influeced by noise because these are eletronic components what affected by eletromagnetic wave. because of this, errors are occured. Experimental results show that the noise can be removed using normal wavelet transform and more accurate data detection is possible.

A trajectory-based scheduling system is proposed for air traffic management using next generation aviation data communication link. Based on the service concept of 4-dimensional trajectory data link (4DTRAD) using air traffic serveices (ATS) datalink Baseline 2, a procedure for trajectory-based operation of an en-route flight is established and described in detail. To mitigate air traffic controllers’ workload which might be caused by various and complicated data utilization, a prototype of the scheduling system, which predicts the aircraft trajectory based on the flight intents received by air traffic service system and provides advisory information for air traffic control, was developed. The simulation environment for trajectory based operation was built to validate the scheduling functionality of the prototype.

In order to apply the Network RTK (real time kinematics) technology, which has been used for positioning of stationary points, to the navigation of vehicles, its infrastructure should provide correction data with a quality indicator that can show the expected accuracy in real time. In this paper, we analyzed various indicator generation algorithms such as I95 (ionospheric index 95) / G95 (geodetic index 95), SBI (semivariance based index) and RIU (residual interpolation uncertainty). We also applied them to the raw observables from the reference stations of National Geographic Information Institute and VRS (virtual reference station) users, and then examined its feasibility to be used as a real-time performance index of the Network RTK rover. 24 hour data analysis shows that the RIU index, which can represent the non-linearty of the correction, has the strongest correlation with the Network RTK rover accuracy. Therefore, RIU index is expected to be used as a real-time performance index of the Network RTK rover.

This paper introduces a MATLAB graphical user interface (GUI) based software for analysis of korea augmentation satellite system (KASS) availability performance. This software uses minimum variance (MV) estimator and Kriging algorithm to generate integrity information such as user differential range error (UDRE) and grid ionospheric vertical error (GIVE). The information is offered to ground and aviation users in Korean region. The software also gives accuracy data, protection level data and availability map about each user position by using the integrity information. In particular the software calculates the protection level along a path of aircraft. We verified the result of protection level of aviation user by comparing them with the results of SBASimulator#2, which is a simulation tool of european geostationary navigation overlay service (EGNOS). As a result, the protection level error between the result of our software and the SBASimulator#2 was about 2% which means that the result of our software is accurate.

V2X communication is a technology in which a vehicle exchanges information with various entities such as other vehicles, infrastructure, networks, pedestrians, etc. through a wired or wireless network. Recently, V2X communication technology has been steadily developed and recently it has played an important role in autonomous cooperation driving technology combined with autonomous vehicle technology. Autonomous vehicles can utilize the external information received via V2X communication to extend the recognition range of existing sensors and to support more safe and natural autonomous driving. In order to operate these autonomous cooperative vehicles on public roads, the security and reliability of autonomous V2X communication should be verified in advance. In this paper, we present test scenarios and test procedures of secure V2X communication for cooperative automated driving and present verification results.

Wide area augmentation system is a system that generates and transmits correction and Integrity information for use in wide area. Typical system is SBAS. In the United States, it operates under the name WAAS, EGNOS in Europe, MSAS in Japan, SDCM in Russia, GAGAN in India. it is developing Korean SBAS which named KASS by 2022 in Korea. SBAS is a standard System that is operated as civil aviation service base and set as international standards by ICAO. So the correction data can only is used for civil SPS receiver. In this paper, we discuss C1P1 DCB estimation which need to use SPS correction service for PPS receiver. Then we analyze C1P1 DCB correction effect under standalone Satellite Navigation and method to use PPS receiver under SPS DGPS. Finally we organize wide area augmentation system for PPS receiver and analysis performance.

Extrapolating the correction information of ionosphere is essential for expanding wide area differential GPS (WADGPS) service area beyond the reference station network. In this paper, design and analysis of the artificial neural network for expanding the ionospheric correction region will be proposed. First, analysis about influence of each input of neural network were performed. The inputs are the day/year periodic function, sunspot number, and geomagnetic index (Ap). Second, performance analysis with respect to the number of hidden layers and neurons in the neural network is shown. As a result, estimation of total electron contents (TEC) on the high/low latitude regions in solar max(2014) are displayed.

This paper predicts and measures the C/N ratio of a beacon signal transmitted from geostationary orbit satellite KorSat 5A (113°E) at a ground station located in Kimpo. Based on the ground stations, we compared the rain attenuation of the zone K of ITU-R and the rain attenuation which analyzed the domestic weather information. In ITU-R, the Korean rainfall characteristics are classified into zone K, but forecasting the rainfall intensity and attenuation of three adjacent cities based on the cumulative rainfall data per minute from 2013 to 2017. The calculation of rainfall path and attenuation is based on ITU-R recommendations. The change of the C/N according to the rainfall amount was confirmed through the 2 week satellite beacon signal C/N measurement. The predicted critical C/N was decreased to 12 dB at A0·3· During the experiment, it was confirmed that it decreased up to 8 dB according to the concentrated rainfall.

In this paper, represented uninterruptible power supply (UPS) equipment maintaining constant output voltage, the proposes a photovoltaic system constructed with a step up boosting chopper and single phase pulse width modulation (PWM) voltage source inverter. as power source disconnection, voltage variation and output current variation with load variation. This system is driven by being synchronized voltage fed inverter and AC source, and in the steady state of power source charge battery connected to DC side with solar cell using a Photovoltaic that it was so called constant voltage charge. It can be results of saving electric power, and through a normal operation of energy storage system (ESS), the system operated the LED a calling on signal changes at the airport in an efficient manner. In addition, better output waveform was generated because of PWM method, and it was proved to test by experiment maintained constant output voltage regardless of AC source disconnection, load variation, and voltage variation of AC power source.

In radar systems, fast Fourier transform (FFT) operation is necessary to obtain the range and velocity of target, and the design of an FFT processor which operates at high speed is required for real-time implementation. The perfect shuffle network is suitable for high-speed FFT processor. In particular, twice perfect shuffle network based on radix-4 is preferred for very high-speed FFT processor. Moreover, radar systems that requires various velocity resolution should support scalable FFT points. In this paper, we propose a 8~1024-point scalable FFT processor based on twice perfect shuffle network algorithm and present hardware design and implementation results. The proposed FFT processor was designed using hardware description language (HDL) and synthesized to gate-level circuits using 0.65μm CMOS process. It is confirmed that the proposed processor includes logic gates of 3,293K.

In this paper, a design method for a compact double dipole quasi-Yagi antenna with a V-shaped ground plane operating in dual bands including 2.45 GHz and 5 GHz wireless LAN frequency bands is studied. First, a quasi-Yagi antenna operating in the 2.45 GHz band is designed, and a V-shaped ground plane is used instead of a conventional strip ground plane to reduce the length of the antenna. A second dipole is connected to the dipole driver of the quasi-Yagi antenna for 2.45 GHz band and a director is appended for 5 GHz band operation. A prototype of the proposed dual-band antenna operating at 2.45 GHz WLAN band and 4.57―7.11 GHz band is fabricated on an FR4 substrate with a dimension of 40 mm by 55 mm. Fabricated antenna shows frequency bands of 2.33―2.75 GHz and 4.38―7.5 GHz for a voltage standing wave ratio less than 2. Measured gain remains more than 4 dBi in both bands.

In this paper, a microstrip antenna for LTE / LTE-A is designed and fabricated for a broadband mobile communication system. The proposed antenna is designed to have the characteristics of using FR-4 (er = 4.3), size of 40 mm × 50 mm, and LTE / LTE-A frequency bands of 2.3 GHz and 2.5 GHz. 2014, and the simulation result shows that the gain is 2.391 dBi at 2.3 GHz and 2.566 dBi at 2.5 GHz. The S-parameter also showed a result of less than -10 dB (WSWR 2: 1) in the desired frequency band. The broadband mobile communication antenna has been miniaturized, high performance, and light weight, and an excellent and low cost system is continuously being developed, and a broadband mobile communication system is used by many people. Since LTE / LTE-A technology has been proposed according to the development of system and demand, it is expected that many users will design and manufacture antennas satisfying the above conditions and apply the applied technology.

For the size reduction, we propose a microstrip-fed monopole antenna with half X-slot in the radiation patch and cover WLAN dual band 2.4 GHz band (2.4 ~ 2.484 GHz) and 5 GHz band (5.15 ~ 5.825 GHz). The frequency characteristics such as impedance bandwidth and resonant frequencies were satisfied by optimizing the numerical values of various parameters, while the reflection loss in 5 GHz was improved by using defected ground structure (DGS). The proposed antenna is designed and fabricated on a FR-4 substrate with dielectric constant 4.3, thickness of 1.6 mm, and size of 24 × 41 mm2. The measured impedance bandwidths (S11 ≤ -10 dB) of fabricated antenna are 450 MHz (2.27 ~ 2.72 GHz) in 2.4 GHz band and 1340 MHz (4.79 ~ 6.13 GHz) in 5 GHz band which sufficiently satisfied with the IEEE 802. 11n standard in dual band. In particular, radiation patterns which are stable as well as relatively omni-direction could be obtained, and the gain of antennas in each band was 1.31 and 1.98 dBi respectively.

Until the 4th Industrial Revolution fused the Web with diverse technologies, the only factor in evaluating the performance of a Web application was the loading speed of the Web application. Therefore, most existing Web application performance analysis tools focus on the speed at which Web applications run in a Web browser. However, the web is now being used not only in a simple web browser but also in a variety of services. So, in addition to simple speed, there are more elements to be checked to evaluate web applications. Therefore, in this paper, we design a server to perform web application performance analysis considering progressive web app, accessibility, best practice, and search engine optimization as well as the above mentioned speed. Also, we realize a REST API based server that can provide web application performance services without being affected by user's devices or environment.

Dispersion-managed Optical Transmission Links with the Random Distributed SMF Lengths

Optical phase conjugation combining with dispersion management (DM) is promising technique to compensate for signal distortion due to chromatic dispersion and nonlinear Kerr effects of single mode fiber (SMF) in optical communication systems. However the fixed SMF length in every fiber spans usually used in the optical links with optical phase conjugator(OPC) and DM restricts the flexible link configuration. The goal of this paper is to investigate the possibility of the flexible configurations of the ultra-high and long-haul optical transmission systems by using the random distribution of SMF length of each fiber spans consisted of the optical link. It is confirmed that the excellent compensation for the distorted wavelength division multiplexing signals in the optical links with the randomly distribution is obtained in case of the shorter averaged SMF length over all fiber spans. It is also confirmed that the control method of net residual dispersion suitable to good compensation is postcompensation and the extent of net residual dispersion(NRD) is -10 ps/nm in DM optical link consisted of fiber spans with the randomly distributed SMF lengths.

During the fourth industrial revolution, the amount of data available to users has surged. And it became a stepping stone for various convergence technologies such as ECMA script, WebAssembly, and web of things using web technology. Also, as the amount of data shared on the web increases, the web has emerged as the most influential media in modern life. As a result, web developers have tried to deliver data quickly over the Web. So, various web application analysis tools appeared, and developers tried to find a solution to solve the speed problem by analyzing the web application. However, the performance of web application analysis tools has not improved significantly. Most existing analytical tools require direct installation, require expertise on the Web to perform analysis, and do not have function to analysis new technologies such as WebAssembly. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the design of a new reporting solution that can solve problems of existing web application analysis tool.

Development of Interactive Content Services through an Intelligent IoT Mirror System

In this paper, we develop interactive content services for preventing depression of users through an intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) mirror system. For interactive content services, an IoT mirror device measures attention and meditation data from an EEG headset device and also measures facial expression data such as "sad", "angery", "disgust", "neutral", " happy", and "surprise" classified by a multi-layer perceptron algorithm through an webcam. Then, it sends the measured data to an oneM2M-compliant IoT server. Based on the collected data in the IoT server, a machine learning model is built to classify three levels of depression (RED, YELLOW, and GREEN) given by a proposed merge labeling method. It was verified that the k-nearest neighbor (k-NN) model could achieve about 93% of accuracy by experimental results. In addition, according to the classified level, a social network service agent sent a corresponding alert message to the family, friends and social workers. Thus, we were able to provide an interactive content service between users and caregivers.

This study predicts solar radiation, solar radiation, and solar power generation using hourly weather data such as temperature, precipitation, wind direction, wind speed, humidity, cloudiness, sunshine and solar radiation. I/O pattern in supervised learning is the most important factor in prediction, but it must be determined by repeated experiments because humans have to decide. This study proposed four input and output patterns for solar and sunrise prediction. In addition, we predicted solar power generation using the predicted solar and solar radiation data and power generation data of Youngam solar power plant in Jeollanamdo . As a experiment result, the model 4 showed the best prediction results in the sunshine and solar radiation prediction, and the RMSE of sunshine was 1.5 times and the sunshine RMSE was 3 times less than that of model 1. As a experiment result of solar power generation prediction, the best prediction result was obtained for model 4 as well as sunshine and solar radiation, and the RMSE was reduced by 2.7 times less than that of model 1.

For the construction of smart factory that are part of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, data from the production environments and production machines should be collected, analyzed, and feedback should be given to predict when failures take place or parts should be replaced. For this purpose, a system that monitors the production environments and the status of the production machines are required. In this paper, the monitoring system for mobile devices and PC is implemented by collecting environmental data from production sites and sensor data of production machine using LoRa, a low-power wireless communication technology. On the mobile devices, production environments and vibration data can be displayed in real time. In PC monitoring program, sensor data can be displayed graphically to check standard deviation and data variation. The implemented system is used to collect data such as temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure of the production environment, and vibration data of production machines.
