This study is to examine the relationship between emotional labor and turnover intension and moderating role of social support in airline call center tele-communicators who perform emotional labor using telephone without direct confronting with clients. This study empirically shows that emotional labor increases turnover intention and social support negatively moderate the relationship of emotional labor and turnover intension Social support is suggested to reduce the negative results of emotional labor causes. This study makes a contribution in providing the fact that emotional labor is an important managing factor in administration of call center tele-communicators.

A small UAVs(Unmaned Aerial Vehicles) have limited by the payload capacity which requires miniaturization of a navigation system. In this paper, the performance of the lightweight and small sized AHRS(Attitude Heading Reference System), which is self-developed, is evaluated at low acceleration environment. The designed AHRS adopts the commercial low-cost MEMS sensors. A quaternion-based attitude calculation method, which eliminates singularity with relatively simple algebra, is used. In an attitude correction algorithm, the Kalman filter is used with accelerometers and magnetometers combined. The fabricated AHRS is also evaluated with reference to a COTS(Commercial Off-The-Shelf) AHRS which reports a number of successful applications to a small UAVs. The test results show that the measurements from the fabricated AHRS provide proper attitude output data with acceptable amount of differences(horizontal axis 0.5°, vertical axis 1.5°) in test environment.

The design of bent monopole antenna for 400MHz ISM band applications

In order to subsitute for the normal mode helical wire antenna, bent monopole antenna combined with a helical structure is proposed as a kind of printed antenna. The antenna which can be operated at 418MHz has been simulated and designed by use of a commercial EM simulator Microwave Studio(MWS). It has been observed that the proposed antenna has good agreements between simulated results and measured results such as the return loss and the radiation pattern. The proposed antenna has been applied practically to the wireless remote controller operationg at 418MHz. It has been observed that the use of the proposed antenna result in similar antenna performance from view point of radiation power when compared with the use of the previous normal mode helical antenna.

A triple-band antenna which can be used at GSM900, PCS1900 and Bluetooth(or Wi-Fi) frequency band is proposed. The proposed antenna is designed based upon switching between IFA(Inverted F Antenna) that has a resonant length of λ/4 and loop antenna that has a resonant length of λ/2. It can be applied to triple-band only by use of single printed pattern due to the switching characteristic. It is designed by use of the IFA for the application to the GSM900, while it is designed by use of the loop antenna for the application to the PCS1900 and by use of additional pattern of IFA for the application to the Bluetooth(or Wi-Fi) respectively. As a result, it has been observed that the proposed antenna satisfies the required return loss(≤10dB) and also has efficiency(≥80%) over the whole band. Moreover the proposed antenna has omni-directional radiation pattern which is suitable to apply to the mobile phone.

Mobile P2P(Peer-to-Peer) protocols in MANET(mobile ad-hoc networks) have gained much attention recently. Existing P2P protocols can be categorized into structured and unstructured ones. In MANET, structured P2P protocols show large control traffic because they does not consider the locality of P2P data and unstructured P2P protocols have a scalability problem with respect to the number of nodes. Hybrid P2P protocols combine advantages of the structured and unstructured P2P protocols. Cluster-based P2P protocol is one of the hybrid P2P protocols. Our study makes an analysis of the cluster-based P2P protocol and derives the optimal cluster formation in MANET. In the derived optimal cluster formation, the cluster-based P2P protocol shows better performance than Gnutella protocol with respect to control traffic.

In this paper, the channel preprocessor with an area-efficient architecture is proposed for the MIMO symbol detector which can support four transmit and receive antennas. The proposed channel preprocessor can shrink the channel dimension to reduce the hardware complexity of the MIMO symbol detector. Also, the proposed channel preprocessor is implemented with very low complexity by using QR decomposition (QRD) and log-number system (LNS). By applying QRD and LNS to the nulling matrix calculation block, the numbers of matrix-multiplications and matrix-divisions are decreased and thus the complexity of the proposed channel preprocessor is significantly reduced. The proposed channel preprocessor was designed in a hardware description language (HDL) and synthesized to gate-level circuits using 0.13 um CMOS standard cell library. With the proposed channel preprocessor, the number of logic gates for channel preprocessor is reduced by 20.2% compared with the conventional architecture.

This paper presents a DTMB deinterleaver structure to reduce SDRAM power consumption. DTMB, the Chinese digital TV standard, has a deinterleaver that consists of many long delay buffers. SDRAM is used for this deinterleaver. The proposed structure pairs data and transfer a pair with an SDRAM transfer. With the reduction of the SDRAM operation number, the proposed structure can save the SDRAM power consumption by around 35%.

This paper presents a small-area ISDB-T time deinterleaver structure. ISDB-T is an mobile TV standard that is widely used in Japan and many South American countries. One of the strong points of the standard is the long interleaving depth, which enhance the communication performance. However, long interleaving requires many delay buffers, in other words many pointer registers. This paper reduces the number of pointer registers with the deinterleaver equivalent transformation. The experimental results show that the area is reduced with the proposed structure.

In this paper, the performances of Cramer-Rao Lower Bound (CRLB) with Frequency Difference of Arrival (FDOA) measurements for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) tracking are investigated. We focus on two cases: the influence on CRLB with FDOA measurements collected by time, and random distribution of Ground Stations (GSs). We derived the performance by gauging the size of CRLB through Complementary Cumulative Distribution Function (CCDF). From the simulation results, broader distribution of GSs and FDOA measurements by longer time bring about better performance.

Most of network congestions are caused by TCP packet losses in the wired network ecosystems. On the contrary, high BER (Bit Error Rate), which is characteristic of the wireless networks, is a main factor in wireless network environments. Many wireless networks carry out the congestion control mechanisms frequently because they estimate that packet losses are not due to the wireless signal qualities but the congestion controls in their networks. To solve this problem, we propose the improved EWLN (Explicit Wireless Loss Notification) algorithm that more efficiently utilize the congestion window size to increase the wireless network throughput than legacy EWLN algorithm.

An investigation has been carried out, by computer simulation, to evaluate the impact of dispersion compensation configurations on 960 Gbps wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) system with optical phase conjugator (OPC). The considered dispersion compensation configurations in this research are conventional one-end type and bi-end type. One-end and bi-end type are made by using one dispersion compensating fiber (DCF) and two DCFs to decrease dispersion accumulated in one single mode fiber (SMF) span, respectively. It is found that bi-end compensation configuration offers the equal performance with that of one-end configuration in WDM system with residual dispersion per span (RDPS) of 400ps/nm if net residual dispersion (NRD) had to be optimized in each cases.

The nerve impulse is induced by the stimulation of neuron or axon, and this stimulated voltage decays along the propagation distance and time if it is subtreshold potential. This behavior can be estimated using the electrical equivalent circuit because it is very similar to propagation phenomenon of electrical circuit to which Ohm`s law is applied. Therefore, I calculated various biometric parameters of body, and then analyzed the propagation behavior of stimulated potential voltage using the distributed parameters of electrical circuit in this paper.

This study was function experiment or inspection of diagnosis x-ray unit at the hospital. It`s how many changes tube voltage, tube current, DOSE value through the experiment depending on temperature increasing. The study want to know whether which parameter shown out of range or not how about image quality and so on. Increasing tube current and DOSE were not only too many radiation to the patient and radiation workers and make bad images but also the tube should be damaged by heat. This study was recommended proper exposure at intervals of seconds because passed inspection, reduced radiations for patient and the tube used long term. This results in the hospital`s finances will be very helpful.

Data sorting is one of important pre-process to utilize huge data in modern society, but sorting spends a lot of time by sorting itself. In this paper, we presented hybrid sorting algorithm that splits array to sort concurrently in CPU and GPU. To do this, we decided most effective range of array based on hardware performance, then accomplished reducing whole sorting time by concurrent sorting on CPU and GPU. As shown in results of experiment, hybrid sorting improved about eight percent of sorting time in comparison with the sorting time using only GPU.

As electronic mails are being widely used for facility and speedness of information communication, as the amount of spam mails which have malice and advertisement increase and cause lots of social and economic problem. A number of approaches have been proposed to alleviate the impact of spam. These approaches can be categorized into pre-acceptance and post-acceptance methods. Post-acceptance methods include bayesian filters, collaborative filtering and e-mail prioritization which are based on words or sentances. But, spammers are changing those characteristics and sending to avoid filtering system. In the case of Korean, the abnormal usages can be much more than other languages because syllable is composed of chosung, jungsung, and jongsung. Existing formal expressions and learning algorithms have the limits to meet with those changes promptly and efficiently. So, we present an methods for recognizing Korean abnormal language(Koral) to improve accuracy and efficiency of filtering system. The method is based on syllabic than word and Smith-waterman algorithm. Through the experiment on filter keyword and e-mail extracted from mail server, we confirmed that Koral is recognized exactly according to similarity level. The required time and space costs are within the permitted limit.

In this paper, the RUNCODE encoder hardware IP was designed and implemented for symbol ID code length encoding, which is one of major modules of JBIG2 encoder for FAX. ImpulseC Codeveloper and Xilinx ISE/EDK program are used for the hardware generation and synthesis of VHDL code. The synthesized hardware was downloaded to Virtex-4 FX60 FPGA on ML410 development board. The synthesized hardware utilizes 13% of total slice of FPGA. Using Active-HDL tool, the hardware was verified showing normal operation. Compared with the software operating using Microblaze cpu on ML410 board, the synthesized hardware was better in operation time. The improvement ratio of operation time between the synthesized hardware and software showed about 40 times faster than software only operation. The synthesized H/W and S/W module cooperated to succeed in compressing the CCITT standard document.

In the macro/femto cellular networks, the portion of channels assigned to each cell is a critical factor which sets the stability and the performance of the whole system. To grasp the concrete influence that the channel split portion have on the system, we present the queueing model for IP based macro/femto cellular networks, and find the stability conditions. Additionally we provide the strategy to decide the portion of channels allocated to each cell. Through the experiments, we prove that the proposed strategies operate feasibly in various network environments, and on the basis of these results we discuss the efficient system structure plan.

Virtualization has recently come under the spotlight as an important emerging technology. The technology was initially focused on services rather than the effective use of the system when it was developed in the 1960s. Now, following with technological advancement, virtualization is used on servers based on x86. The biggest merit by far of this technology is economic. Virtualization enables server integration, which can cut operating expenses (including personnel expenses) since it costs less to purchase, power and maintain multiple servers if they are integrated by the virtualization technology. This study examines the trend of virtualization technology and suggests a roadmap for future server integration.

In this paper, we propose the matching model between virtual reality and the real-world for peoples with limited mobility. The proposed matching model is consist of four parts: wearable input device-based PC control, hand-motion pattern recognition, application software, and matching between virtual reality and the real-world. To recognition mouse functions and hand-motion patterns from six-axis coordinate of wearable input device, RF communication is used. In addition, to easily control the real-world, virtual reality has been implemented with realism of the real-world. Some experiments are conducted so as to verify the proposed model, and as a result, hand-motion recognition as well as virtual reality control are well performed.

In the present study, we measured the performance (accuracy and reaction time) of the user in the virtual environment with see-through Head-Mounted Display system that includes 3D sound generated through Head-Related Transfer Function (HRTF) to investigate the feasibility of auditory display for a certain object`s spatial information. To sum up the results of two experiments, when presenting location information of the object with 3D sound, it is desirable that information arrangement from the user should be an orthogonal pattern which is located with right angle, not a diagonal pattern. Like these results propose that spatial information presentation with 3D sound make the optimal object arrangement of virtual environment possible.
