For safety navigation of ships at sea, ships monitor their location obtained from Global Positioning Satellite System (GNSS). In this study, we computed near-real-time positions of a ship at sea using GPS Precise Point Positioning (PPP) technique and analyzed precision of the near-real-time positions. We conducted ship borne GPS observations in the south sea of Korea. To process the GPS data using PPP technique, GIPSY-OASIS (GPS Inferred Positioning System-Orbit Analysis and Simulation Software) developed by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory was used. Antenna phase center variations, ocean tidal loading displacements, and azimuthal gradients of the atmosphere were corrected or estimated as standard procedures of high-precision GIPSY-OASIS data processing. As a result, the precisions of near-real-time positions was ~1cm.

In this paper, integrated navigation algorithm is designed for land transport sector which is needed high accuracy and monitoring program is developed for lane departure warning. High accuracy position information which is possible lane separation is needed for lane departure warning, so position detection algorithm based GPS/DR which combine GPS with dead reckoning is proposed. For the verification of the designed integrated navigation algorithm, we drived to acquire data and showed post-processing experiment results with monitoring program. Vehicle driving movie and aerial photograph in monitoring program is designed to show lane keeping and lane separation.

Jack knifing accident of semi trailer vehicle is one of the most dangerous accident type because the vehicle cross over its lane by the accident. Jack knifing accident can be predicted and detected by GNSS precise relative positioning. But integer ambiguity resolution procedure is inevitable in GNSS precise relative positioning. In this paper, success rate improving method of integer ambiguity resolution is proposed for jack knifing accident prediction and detection of semi trailer vehicle, and proposed method is tested by simulation.

Spectrum sharing between wireless systems becomes a critical issue due to emerging new technologies and spectrum shortage. Since WRC-07 allocated 3400-3600MHz band for the coming fourth generation (4G) or IMT-Advanced on a co-primary basis along with existing Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), it requires spectrum sharing studies to solve the interference problems between two systems. In this paper, I propose the separation distance between service coverages as a sharing fundamental criterion based on the interference to noise power ratio (I/N) received in a FWA base station from several IMT-Advanced base stations on the cellular systems. Especially, some results imply that I/N values compared to the worst case can be greatly reduced with MIMO SDMA interference mitigation technique of IMT-Advanced base stations so that these two systems can co-exist in the same frequency with appropriate separation distance.

Design of IPI feeding structure affecting the antenna gain improvement of mobile phone was investigated. IPI feeder which based on the T matching theory increase line current for internal antenna such as IFA. So IPI feeder makes higher radiation resistance, and also increases the gain with increasing radiation efficiency. To verify IPI feeding effect, feeder is applied to conventional CDMA/DCS dual band IFA. Measurement shows that IPI-IFA has 0.5 ~ 1.4[dBi] higher gain than conventional IFA at CDMA/DCS band. Resonant frequency did not change.

PLC_Zigbee system, implemented in a previous study, uses ZigBee Node based on PLC (Power Line Communication). The weak point of the system is that the long distance powerline communication and PLC is impossible to use in the areas where the powerline is not installed. In this paper, we added CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) module using a data transfer method of SMS (Short Message Service) and XBee of WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) module to the previous system, and got around the restriction of place and environment of PLC system through the interfacing of each communication media. We, thus, implemented a wide range of real monitoring system.

Optimal conditions of 40 Gbps RZ format for implementation of optical time division multiplexing/wavelength division multiplexing (OTDM/WDM) transmission system are induced by analyzing and comparing performance depending on duty cycle and extinction ratio (ER). Optical phase conjugator (OPC) and inline dispersion management (DM) are applied into optical transmission links for compensating signal distortion due to chromatic dispersion and nonlinearity of fiber. It is confirmed that RZ format of 0.25 duty cycle is less effected by system performance change depending on ER and it is suitable for multiplexing to 160 Gbps signal through OTDM. Also, it is shown that performance improvement of RZ format determined by same net residual dispersion (NRD) is more increased as residual dispersion per span (RDPS) becomes large.

This paper introduces Stuxnet, a malicious ware that presently stimulates severity of the cyber warfare worldwide, analyses how it propagates and what it affects if infected and proposes a process to cure infected systems according to its organization. Malicious wares such as Stuxnet secretes themselves within the system during propagation and it is required to analyze file hiding techniques they use to detect and remove them. According to the result of the analysis in this paper, Stuxnet uses the library hooking technique and the file system filter driver technique on both user level and kernel level, respectively, to hide its files. Therefore, this paper shows the results of the Stuxnet`s file hiding approach and proposes an idea for countermeasure to neutralize it. A pilot implementation of the idea afterward shows that the stealthing techniques of Stuxnet are removed by the implementation.

In this paper, a method for transmitting layered SVC streams in differentiated MBSFN channels is presented. Scalable coded video streams are transmitted in modulation channels of different efficiency that it achieves reduced resource consumption compared to non-scalable AVC stream. When utilizing with Raptor FEC, the combined effect is enhanced service coverage with providing minimum video quality at the edge of the service area, than the case of AVC.

In the next generation system, a study on realization of Multi-Core system is in progress for applying it in multi service network. Therefore some mobile systems are expected to be appeared. These systems can support WiBro, WCDMA, CDMA, etc with single terminal. These systems have to support various FA using broadband frequency and hand over to other service network. Especially, in the telecommunication system composed of cell, the transmit power can be interference at adjacent system, has effect on system channel capacity and cell size. In this paper, we improve the unstable transmit power caused by unsettled system operation, propose the RF(Radio Frequency) Calibration method which can use the transmit power stably even during hand over between heterogeneous networks causing unstable power change. Also we used proposed method and analysed used electricity of system during hand over between heterogeneous networks.

In this paper, a novel schedulability criteria is developed to provide handover calls with Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees in terms of both minimum available bandwidth, maximum tolerated packet delay, and other additive QoS constraints as required by the real-time mobile traffic. This requires prediction of the handover time using mobility trends on the mobile station, which is used as input to this work. After the handover time and the QoS are negotiated, the destination base station makes attempts to give priority to handover calls over new calls, and pre-reserves resources that will have more chance of being available during the actual handover.

A automatic flight control system(AFCS) of UAS needs to control its flight path along target path exactly as adjusts flight coefficient itself depending on static or dynamic changes of airplane`s features such as type, size or weight. In this paper, we propose system which tunes control gain autonomously depending on change of airplane`s feature in flight as adding MLM(Machine Learning Module) on AFCS. MLM is designed with Linear Regression algorithm and Reinforcement Learning and it includes EvM(Evaluation Module) which evaluates learned control gain from MLM and verified system. This system is tested on beaver FDC simulator and we present its analysed result.

The sport industry has been continuing to grow in the past few decades in the U.S., and it presents significant opportunities for the practitioners to increase the number of patrons. To convert this opportunity to optimum benefits for a sport organization, one of the most significant challenges for the practitioners would be promoting sport attendance and repatronage. So far, many studies have tried to identify variables that affect the level of sports attendance. However, many of these variables are rather uncontrollable due to the nature of the sports and contingencies that are derived from many areas of uncertainties. Thus, to acquire competitive advantage and profit maximization, it would be essential for the managers to focus on understanding controllable elements. This study found that many controllable variables that influence sports attendance coincide with the servicescape elements which have been widely used in the hospitality industry since 1992. In the light of the conceptual framework of servicescape, this study also attempted to isolate the controllable variables that can be utilized to increase the sports attendance. This study presents its significance not only in extending the application of servicescape concept to the sport industry, but also in providing suggestions for future empirical studies that would further identify these variables, gauge the relationship between those variables, and assess its impact on the sports attendance.

In this paper, the unequal power divider based on CRLH (Composite Right/Left-Handed) transmission line with dual-band characteristic is proposed. They consist of dual-band branch line hybrid coupler, the connection between input and isolation port of hybrid coupler and λ/4 impedance transformer. When the transmission line between input and isolation port of hybrid coupler is asymmetrical connected, the divider is obtained the output results of the equal phase and unequal power dividing ratio. The simulation results of the divider represent the power ratio of 0 dB ~ 20 dB. To validate a function of divider, the hybrid coupler and transformer with 880 MHz and 1850 MHz is implemented. As a result, the proposed unequal divider obtains the power ratio of 3.2 dB ~ 8.8 dB at 880 MHz and 2.5 dB ~ 14.0 dB at 1850 MHz.

In this paper, we analyze the performance of the parity cache enabled RAID level-5 via the simulation. This RAID system consists of the DDR memory-based storage devices. To do this, we develop the simulation model and suggest the basic performance analysis data which we want to get via the simulation. And we implement the simulator based on the simulation model and execute the simulator. From the result of the simulation, we expect that the parity cache enabled RAID level-5 configured by the DDR memory based storage devices has the positive effectiveness to the enhancing of the storage system performance if the storage access patterns of applications are tuned.

In this paper, we introduce extended problems of Tower of Hanoi (ToH) and propose a novel visualization method to express a state space of ToH. As for the extended problems, we introduce multi-peg ToH, multi-stack ToH, and regular state ToH. The novel visualization method in this paper is a natural extension of Hanoi graph visualization. In the proposed method, we assign one Cartesian coordinate point per each disk to provide an unified visualization that the marks on a link and the changes of a state should correspond with a peg position of a disk. Compared with Hanoi graph, the generated graph by the proposed method is isomorphic if we remove links of forbidden move, which indicates that our method is a generalization of Hanoi graph and thus is more expressive. To help the understanding of the readers, we show the generated graphs by our method when the number of disks is 2 and 3.

In this paper, parallel programming technique by using Java Thread is introduced so as to develop parallel design tool to analyze the small micro flow sensor. To estimate computing time for Thread-level parallelism, the performances of two experimental models for potential problem subject to Thermal transfer equation are examined. As a result, if the number of network PC is increase, computing time for parallelism on network environment is enhanced to be almost n times. The micro sensor design tool based on distributed computing can be utilized to analyze a large scale problem.

In this paper, network selection algorithm for services of mobile IPTV(internet protocol television) and implementation of a hierarchical processing system for reducing overload by terminal with low speed is proposed. This algorithm selects the network according to the following priorities derived from formulas; value that uses remaining bandwidth, network cost, signal strength. If terminal has a low processing power for using selected network and TV service, quality of service declines due to the system overloading. Hence, we implemented system which processes selected network and TV services accomplished by layer divided. Through experiments results, the method of direct user network selection waits for bandwidth assignment. However, on the one hand, that waiting time in exhausted situation will be very long. On the other hand, if we consider the priority plot of used networks, we should select the network with the best state. Therefore, data transmission rate will keep on average and the waiting time will be low.

I made the axon to the electrical transmission model and then constructed electrical equivalent model using Kirhhoff`s current law and voltage law in this paper. I calculated various axon parameters in order to analyze the electrical potential hehavior versus minute distance chang of axon. The transmission velocity of unmyelinated nerve is proportional to square root of axon diameter, while that of myelinated nerve is directly proportional to its diameter. Because the transmission of myelin sheath is independent of voltage unlike unmyelinated sheath, the Hodgkin-Huxley model across the membrane is not so precise.
